Service Description
At Nurse Gert Doula Support, we believe that one-on-one support, education, and empowerment are essential for a positive and satisfying birth experience. Our goal is to help you feel safe, confident, informed, and prepared for the arrival of your baby. We offer a range of comprehensive birth support services: Aromatherapy: using essential oils to promote relaxation and reduce stress Music Therapy: creating a calming and soothing atmosphere with music Counter Pressure: applying gentle pressure to specific points on your body to relieve pain Hydrotherapy: utilizing water to provide comfort and relaxation during labor We believe that you have the right to choose the type of birth that best suits you and your family. Our doulas will provide you with the information and support you need to make informed decisions about your birth experience. Remember, birth is a normal physiological process. With the right support, you can trust your body to bring your baby into the world safely and naturally. All of our birth packages include comprehensive doula support, tailored to your individual needs and preferences. Cancellation Policy
Service Description Hospital doula support provides continuous emotional, physical, and informational assistance during labor and delivery in a hospital setting. Services include: • Prenatal Support: Childbirth education, birth planning, and preparation for a hospital birth. • Labor and Birth Support: Comfort techniques (e.g., massage, positioning), emotional encouragement, and guidance through labor stages. • Postpartum Support: Immediate support after delivery, assistance with breastfeeding initiation, and emotional reassurance. Doulas do not provide medical care or make decisions on behalf of the client but collaborate with the healthcare team to support the client’s birth plan and preferences. Disclaimer Hospital doulas are non-medical professionals. All medical decisions are the sole responsibility of the client and their healthcare providers. Clients are encouraged to discuss their birth plan and any medical concerns with their care team. Payment Policy • Fees: Service fees are outlined during the initial consultation. • Deposits: A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to secure services and is applied to the total cost. • Payment Deadline: Full payment is due by 37 weeks gestation unless otherwise arranged. Refund Policy • Refunds are not provided for services already rendered. • Partial refunds (excluding the deposit) may be issued if services are canceled before 36 weeks gestation. • If the doula cannot attend the birth due to unforeseen circumstances, a qualified backup doula will be provided, or up to 75% of the total fee may be refunded if no backup is available. Cancellation Policy • Client-Initiated: Written notice is required for cancellations. Partial refunds may apply for cancellations before 36 weeks; no refunds will be issued after this point. • Provider-Initiated: If services cannot be fulfilled, a prorated refund will be provided, and efforts will be made to connect the client with a backup doula. Communication Policy • On-call support begins at 37 weeks gestation. • Clients may contact their doula via phone, text, or email for updates or questions. Code of Conduct • Client Responsibilities: Communicate openly about preferences and changes to medical status. • Doula Responsibilities: Provide professional, evidence-based, and respectful support within the agreed scope of practice. Liability Waiver Clients release the doula from liability for outcomes related to medical decisions, labor, or delivery.
