Nurse Gert Doula Support provides exceptional support for expectant mothers and their birthing partner no matter where they choose to give birth - at home, a birth center, or hospital. With Nurse Gert by your side, you can receive personalized care and guidance throughout your entire labor process. As a doula, Nurse Gert offers emotional, physical, and medical support, ensuring you feel empowered and prepared for the journey ahead. For those looking for more comprehensive care, Nurse Gert also offers clinical assessments and interventions as a monitrice. Monitrice Doulas are trained professionals who can provide valuable support and assessments to women in labor, allowing them to remain at home for as long as possible. As a Registered Nurse, Nurse Gert can perform clinical assessments and offer guidance to help you make informed decisions about your birth. Clinical Assessments: -Cervical Exams: upon your request, we can assess your cervical dilation -Vital Signs: monitoring your blood pressure and heart rate -Fetal Monitoring: using a Doppler to assess your baby's fetal heart rate and position & educate clients on how to use themselves Montrice Doula Support is particularly beneficial for: • First-time mothers who may feel unsure about the birth process • Women desiring a VBAC who want to experience a spontaneous home birth for as long as possible • Limited Clinical Labor Support (fetal heart monitoring, maternal vital sign assessment, assess cervical dilation & rupture of membranes) before transfer to hospital or birth center. • Labor support as a doula once at birth center or hospital • Immediate Postpartum Support • Lactation Support
Cancellation Policy
Service Description Monitrice doula services provide support during pregnancy, labor, and postpartum, including: • Prenatal Support: Childbirth education, birth planning, and evidence-based resources. • Labor and Birth Support: In-home early labor support, basic clinical monitoring (e.g., blood pressure, fetal heart tones), and continuous emotional and physical assistance during active labor. • Postpartum Support: Breastfeeding help, emotional support, and referrals as needed. Disclaimer Monitrice doulas are not medical providers. Clients are responsible for healthcare decisions and must consult medical professionals for diagnoses, treatments, or emergencies. Payment Policy • Fees: Provided during consultation, with payment plans available. • Deposits: A 25% non-refundable deposit secures services, applied to the total cost. • Full Payment: Due by 37 weeks gestation unless otherwise arranged. Refund Policy • No refunds for services already rendered. • Partial refunds (excluding the deposit) may apply if services are canceled before 36 weeks. • If the doula cannot attend the birth, a backup doula will be arranged, or up to 75% may be refunded if no backup is available. Cancellation Policy • Client-Initiated: Cancellations before 36 weeks may qualify for partial refunds; no refunds after 36 weeks. • Provider-Initiated: A prorated refund will be issued if services are canceled, and efforts will be made to provide a backup doula. Registration Process • Initial free consultation. • Registration is complete after submitting the signed agreement, intake form, and deposit. Privacy and Confidentiality Client information is confidential and shared only with consent or as required by law. Scope of Practice Monitrice doulas provide emotional, physical, and limited clinical support (e.g., monitoring) but do not diagnose, treat, or replace medical care. Liability Waiver Clients release the monitrice doula from liability for pregnancy, birth, or postpartum outcomes. Communication Policy • On-call support begins at 37 weeks gestation. • Non-urgent inquiries are answered within 24 hours; emergencies must go to healthcare providers or 911. Code of Conduct Clients must communicate openly and provide a safe environment. Doulas will maintain professionalism and evidence-based care.
