Service Description Postpartum doula support offers non-medical, evidence-based care to help families transition smoothly after the birth of a baby. Services are tailored to meet each family’s needs and include physical, emotional, and practical support during the postpartum period. Scope of Services Infant Care: Guidance on feeding (breastfeeding, bottle-feeding, or combination), diapering, soothing techniques, and sleep routines. Parent Support: Emotional encouragement, recovery support, and assistance in building confidence as new parents. Household Assistance: Light housekeeping related to newborn care, such as baby laundry, meal preparation, or nursery organization. Education: Providing information on newborn care, postpartum recovery, and available community resources. Sibling Support: Assisting with older children to ease the transition into a growing family. Disclaimer Postpartum doula support is non-medical and does not include diagnosis, medical care, or administering medications. Clients should consult healthcare providers for medical concerns or emergencies. Client Responsibilities Communicate care preferences, routines, and any specific needs. Provide supplies for newborn care (e.g., diapers, feeding materials). Maintain open and respectful communication about expectations and feedback. Payment Policy Service costs will be outlined during the initial consultation. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required at booking to secure services, applied toward the total fee. Full payment must be made before services begin unless a payment plan is pre-arranged. Cancellation Policy Cancellations must be made in writing. Cancellations at least 48 hours in advance may be rescheduled without penalty. Cancellations within 24 hours may result in a 50% session fee charge, except in emergencies. If the doula must cancel, efforts will be made to reschedule or provide a qualified substitute. Confidentiality All client information is kept confidential and only shared with express consent or as required by law. Safety and Liability Services are provided according to client instructions and industry best practices. The doula is not liable for outcomes resulting from pre-existing conditions or decisions outside the doula's control.
